Our Founder
Chelsea Bennett
Founder | Chief Executive Officer
With over 15 years of experience, Chelsea has built a distinguished career helping businesses and government agencies navigate complex communication challenges. She has held key leadership roles in public relations, operations, training, and human resources, shaping strategic messaging and community engagement efforts.
Chelsea served as the first Public Information Officer for the City of Columbia Attorney’s Office, later becoming Deputy Director of Communications for Richland County, where she led public engagement initiatives, including the successful renewal of the Richland County Transportation Penny Program. Most recently, as Director of Strategic Communications for a South Carolina cabinet agency, she led the agency in statewide outreach initiatives to enhance public trust and awareness.
Beyond her professional roles, Chelsea is deeply committed to service and giving back. She serves on the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Chapter as the Midlands Regional Director, supporting the growth and development of communications professionals. Additionally, she volunteers with the Live Healthy Richland County Coalition, working to expand equitable access to healthy living across the region. She holds a Master’s in Strategic Communication & Public Relations from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Limestone University.
As a first generation entrepreneur and the founder of Ivey Palmer PR, Chelsea transforms her passion for strategic communication into results-driven solutions, helping businesses build their brands and organizations protect and enhance their reputations.
